Surprise! I get a call from my "onbudsman" telling me that she has good news. Aaron is getting to come home early and will be flying home and be in the Norfolk, VA  International Airport Saturday Morning the 10th of Sep. I even got to talk to him. His boat docked in Ketchikan, Alaska Where he got to spend a day before the flew out on a redeye.

 With a few other sailors Aaron was able to charter a seaplane a take a tour of the area.

Aaron's Dad Ira actually lived in Alaska during part of his youth so I know it was fun for Aaron do be there.

 He kept telling me that the pictures don't do it justice. It was so pretty.

Wait what?! Yeah that just happened! So I packed up and left Thursday morning (8th) and drove to Louisville and crashed at Savanna's that night. Got up and drove all day Friday (9th) and pulled into our house that night. Next morning I wake up load the kids one more time in the van and go pick up Daddy!

I couldn't get Ashlyn to calm down during Stake Conference but Papa had the magic touch. Oh how she loves her Papa. Ever time he comes home Ashlyn would run up to him like she would her Daddy and hug his legs while calling out their name. So it's been "Papa!" for a little while now. I think she misses her Daddy though.

We knew Jax was capable of swimming on his own but that he just needed more time in the water. Well now that we've been in Texas we go swimming every chance we get and now we have a swimmer on our hands. Way to go Jax!

Well, everyone else is doing it! Now Jordyn swims all on her own too. I could see it coming when she refused to wear her floaties anymore. It first started right there by that wall and she would let go of it "swim" until she sank then she would grab the wall and start all over again.

While we where in Childress Ashlyn and Carter became good friends. It was funny to watch cause at first Ashlyn would just take everything that Carter would play with, and because Carter is so sweet he would just let her take it and then get upset about it. But I guess Ashlyn was fun to be around because he would just follow her and do what she did. This is them "reading."

We were so excited to be able to go with Nana and Papa to Elgin, Tx for a big event, Brek's Baptism and 8th Birthday!!! My kids had way too much fun playing with their cousins. Jax finally got to wrestle and Brek took such good care of Jordyn and Ashlyn, girl time!

Today we spent doing as many things as we could that Jax wanted to do. He had told me that he wanted donuts so that's how we started our day. I got Jax a chocolate sprinkled donut and even found Jordyn a pink sprinkled donut. Good Morning!

First things first was fun at the pool. Then we headed back to Papa and Nana's house for cake and ice cream. I was pretty happy with how his cake turned out. I was really afraid the red icing would be pink.

Later was dance party and then Nana took Jax on a date with just her. They spent the afternoon going to the museum, airport to see the planes, the park, to see the construction on Uncle Kevin's new house, Uncle Conner's gravesite, walmart and getting an ice-cream cone and even a balloon. Too much fun!

Then later he even found a snake!

 Finish with a nice bath and haircut done by none other than Jax himself!

Happy 5 Years Jax!

He loves all things outdoors from toads, frogs, snakes, dirt, forts, worms. He loves swimming and wrestling. He's his sisters' best friend and Mommy's little helper. He's a mini Aaron and loves being and doing things with his Dad. He surprises me all the time with new creations from combinations of blocks, legos, tape, paper, sticks, rocks, etc... He's always got a new story to tell and loves hearing them.
