Rugged Maniac: Maniac Mommies

Rugged Maniac
Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina

12 March 2016
I found out a couple months ago that some of the ladies in our ward signed up for this race and I knew we would be moved already but I persuaded Aaron to drive back for it and it was totally worth it! I got to run my race, Aaron got to go shooting, we got to see friends, and we needed to finish cleaning our house and we got it all done!
Oh man we miss our friends! Jax and Alice holding hands.
Big thanks to the Bishops for helping us out by letting our kids play over at your place while we cleaned our house and feeding us! Every other day Jax and Jordyn tell me that want to play with Alice and Joe!

The Race!

There where only 2 obstacles I was worried about, and this one was one of them. With my shoulders I was nervous but I was fine, I concerned all 25 obstacles including running up the wall at the end! I was told by one the the girls that they where glad I came back not only to see me but to help everyone over the tough ones. Haha I went through everything first and made sure everyone else made it through too.

 I had so much fun!

Goodbye South Carolina, Hello Virginia!

Well, weather we like it or not the time has finally come, we have left Chareslton, South Carolina. But before we go...

This is what I walked out to.
I let Ashlyn outside one day and then remembered that it had rained the day before, good thing Jax was there to show her where the mud was.

Well, at least I know my girls are not afraid of getting their hands dirty...or their whole bodies.

The morning came, we where up till 11ish packing the rest of the stuff in the moving truck, laid down for a short nap, woke at 3:30AM, took off driving to try and make it there in time to sign the closing papers on our new house. I was so tired, and I could see Aaron in the U-haul in front of me swerving a little form time to time. We pulled over and I took a nap woke up and Aaron had taken off without me. I caught up with him at the weight station then we drove to the law office. When we got there we looked like something from a trailer park. Our children where still in their PJs, Jordyn and Ashlyn had no shoes and we all had not showered since we had started loading our stuff 2 days ago, we where a sight!
This was while we where waiting to weigh the U-haul.

Welcome to our new home! We made it!

We even had a welcoming party well the next weekend! The Grays came to visit because we are close to family now! Only 3 1/2 hrs away! Another plus Dad scored big at a local moving sale and found this trampoline and some beds for the Jax and Jordyn!

Dinner at one of our favorite places, Tucanos Brazilian Grill, Oh My we have missed you! Haven't eaten here since Utah! As soon as we discovered it was there I new it wouldn't be long before Aaron came up with some excuse to go there, and here it is, family!!! Hey I thought it was pretty good.

Bahamas Cruise

Bahama Cruise
18 Feb 2016
Need I say more! It was so fun, I've never been on a cruise and Aaron hasn't been since he was 12. I love my kids but it was great to just be Aaron and me for a few days. Favorite check off our bucket list for Charleston.

19 Feb 2016
Special thanks to Grandma Hoer for the material she gave me I used it to make this dress for the formal night, I decided I wanted to make a dress (mainly because I didn't want to spend money on a new one, haha) even though others had told me it didn't have to be formal just nice. That and cause I like seeing my man all dressed up. He even let me take pictures with him, and if you know Aaron this is a big deal, he does not like pictures.
I even got Aaron up on stage before a show started, if you look hard you can see him in a black wig, haha!!! hey they asked for a big strong man so I pointed him out.

Nassau Bahamas
One of the things the Bahamas is known for is Pirates and Aaron really wanted to do something pirate related, and we happened upon this museum, pretty neat!

I loved the water, it was so blue!!! beautiful!
"Blinded by the light!" (I don't know how I kept my eyes open for this pic!)
We found a volleyball net and played a bit but it was kinda windy and the players we picked up may have been a little buzzed...
Later that night there was a military appreciation we attended, this is Aaron on stage in the back.

Next stop Freeport, Bahamas

I just had to take this picture. Aaron and I where craving different things, Me: burger and fries, Aaron: fruit and salad...is there something wrong with this pictures?
Every night of the cruise Aaron and I wanted to go country dancing, but there wasn't really any dance floor anywhere, so we just made due dancing anywhere we heard country music. By the end of the cruise I think people recognized us as "that" couple and we had many complements and even on the last night an officer of the ship saw us dancing and brought us both a trophy and medal saying how we definitely deserved them.
A five day cruise was just perfect for us! We loved every minute but by the time the boat cruised back into the port at Charleston we missed our kids and were ready to see them again.
