Labor Day

Aaron had Labor Day off and he decided he just wanted to spoil his kiddos. So took us to Krispy Kremes and then to Charlestown Landing.

This is the actual place where Charelston settlers first came. They settled here because of it's protective location, then later on moved to the peninsula where downtown Charleston is now.

Then we where able to see the "native animals" that where here when the settlers first came to Charelston. They had otters, bears, deer, wolves, buffalo, turkey, puma, goats, sheep, and more. Some are no longer in the area due to settlers but some are still located here in Charelston.

Also on a side note Ashes has just started to climb the stairs!!!

We love going to the beach, and today was perfect!!! Not to hot, not too cold, and Jax found crabs, minos and even a star fish, soo cool!!!

Jordyn has been in a phase of I guess you could call it munching. It's driving me crazy!!! She is so independent so she just wants to get everything herself. And she doesn't want to ask because I might say no. So she will get whatever she wants and start eating herself, and this is how she eats, a few bites in this one, a few bites in that one, a bite out of this one...etc!!! This morning it was bagels, before that apples.

Jordyn is also my little singer. She loves the "Big Hairy Spider" but also has learned the whole song of "Pray in Faith" and will randomly sing it all day. I love it! they do hear me ;)

At Ashes' last doc. appointment her doc asked if she was rolling over well. I just laughed and said, yes she is, and she's crawling, pulling herself up on stuff and beginning to cruz too. He just looked at me and said, that's what 9 mo. olds are doing! I think he was pretty impressed.
He also told me last time he saw us that we where the "easiest family to be a pediatrician for." We have definitely been blessed with some strong healthy babies!

I created a ballon avalanche and when I heard him getting up I went to go see his reaction.

He opens the door, watches all the balloons slowly fall and then looks to the streamers and says, "stop it!" I think he thought I was trying to trap him in his room, haha. I said "Jax it's fun now you can break through" then he thought it was fun and started playing in the streamers and ballons.

Jax had a spiderman themed birthday. I was just going to do cupcakes and have some friends over and play that morning. But I sent Aaron to the store for his present and he came back with all of this! That man does not know how to do anything small! haha

hats...piñata...party favors...cups...plates...all spiderman themed!

Later that evening we went to one of Jax's favorite places, Monkey Joes (or as Aaron says "Junky Moes"). He had already partied all day and fell asleep on the way to the bounce houses. but woke right up and had a good time.

He had the perfect birthday! Woke to balloons and streamers, ate muffins for breakfast, had a spiderman themed party with a bunch of friends and a spiderman piñata, got presents, watched spiderman episodes all afternoon, went to Monkey Joe's, had pizza for dinner and ended the day with some chocolate milk in his spiderman pjs in his new spiderman cup! Way too much fun!

So on his birthday we were able to get on Skype and Nana was able to watch him open and play with his new present, crazy sand!

Next day: Well, Mom was not good and left these two unattended with it outside with strict instructions to keep it on the table...yeah right what was Mom thinking!

Loves bugs, lizards, toads, caterpillars, mud, swords, guns, the beach, water, the "woods", sticks, the "prophet song" (follow the prophet), his sisters, spiderman, superheroes, Monkey Joe's & his Mommy and Daddy.

I'll be the first to say, my kids got skills! This crazy little thing has been rolling over and scooting around, but she is officially crawling in this picture! And she's just over 6 months old. I look at her sometimes and think she's small, just because she's doing things that babies her age normally don't do. Way to go Ashes!
