Washington D.C.

Washington D.C.
18 April 2015
Aaron was dieing to get out of town on his "4 day"so the day before leaving we decide that we'll head up to Fort Meade to visit his sister Julia and sight see Washington DC.
This first day we had lunch out on the grass on the Mall then we went to Air and Space Museum. Then we walked from down to the Washington, World War II, Refection Pool and Lincoln Memorials. It was a long walk and the day before Julia and I went for a run (I haven't run in about a year) and we thought it was about 2 miles and it ended up being over 3 miles! Ya my hip flexers were sore...and then all that walking! Oh man!
Now I had the blessing of going to Washington DC on a trip that I won back in high school with South Plains Electric so I've already seen most of these sights but this was Aaron and the kids' first time seeing the sights of DC and it was fun.
National Mall
Aaron, Ashlyn, Jax and Jordyn.  Julia, Senora, Quientin, Nikadien, Cambri and Senorous

Our attempts at pictures, always fun with the Grays!
 Air and Space Museum

 Washington Monument

We were disipointed to find out they are doing construction on the capitol and on the refection pool (there was no water...just concrete!)
Abraham Lincoln Memorial

Just before we took this picture Jax had wandered off and we couldn't find him for about 10 min. Aaron found him telling a woman that his parents had left him! that kid! we didn't go anywhere he just takes off, I need to tattoo our names in that kid cause I have a feeling this won't be the last time we get separated (knowing his mother...)
After Jax had run off one time I brought him back and said something to the effect of "Mommy loves you so much I don't want to loose you, that's why you have to stay near Mommy and not run off." So now at night just before bed as I'm saying goodnight he tells me and/or Aaron "I love you, I don't want to loose you" as he cradles our faces in his hands. Sometimes he can be so sweet!

So a crazy thing happened! Aaron had all this siblings together for the first time in 4 year! The whole family is together except Ira(his Dad). Laura had a conference for work and we just happened to come up the same weekend! We love our crazy families!

 National Museum of American History
We got this picture just after Jordyn swallows/chokes on a weathers candy, scared me!
I actually knew this was here from my first visit to DC but it caught me by surprise. I was like hey! I know what this is!

Washington DC Temple
This on the other had I didn't get to see the last time I was in DC. absolutely beautiful!!! and the visitor center was really neat too

I just wanted to put this one in cause it's more the idea of how our family really looks like. haha!
The tulips were beautiful! Reminds me of the time I picked all my mom's tulips out of her flowerbed and brought them to her.
Or the tulips that Aaron and I planted when we were dating on Halloween Day up in the mountains and found them the next spring when we were engaged.
I love these cuties!!!
