Uncle Steve and Cynthia Visit Charleston

Steve and Cynthia Hoer
 (my uncle and aunt)
surprised me by making a trip down to Charleston and we were able to spend a couple days with them. It was so fun to see them. They spoiled us rotten! and the Jax days latter was still talking about Steve and Cynthia.

We made early dinner reservations at the famous "Magnolia's" in downtown Charelston so we meet up there and Steve and Cynthia bought us dinner.

I guess I let my children play with knives...
 Daddy's little girl!
We ate early so that Aaron could eat with us, then he took off to get back in time for work.
We spent the rest of the evening walking the streets of Charleston.

You will find many stones like this one on the sidewalks in Charleston. They are steps put in at the front doors of some houses for back in the day when the ladies and gentleman where climbing in and out of their carriages.

 The Provost
This little cutie has his hair so short because just a couple of days earlier he and two other boys (Rex and Alex) went up stairs and cut their on hair. All us moms just laughed and gave 'em all a buzz cut!
Playing in one of the parks.
I was just telling Steve and Cynthia how coveted these swings are along this pier and the very front one opens up just as we are passing it! I couldn't believe it, so we where all pretty excited!

Poor Uncle Steve and Aunt Cynthia...
So I we thought we had this master plan that Steve and Cynthia would drive us (the kids and me) back to our house. Well first it was a challenge to get the double stroller to fit in the back of the SUV (which we thought would not be a problem). Then as we pull up to the house after I'm sure a very long day for Steve and Cynthia I realized that I do not have a key any way to get into my house!!! So then I luckily was able to get-a-hold of Aaron at work (because I never call him there I didn't even know what number to use). Steve and Cynthia were such good sports they let me drive their SUV on base (because I'm the one with the ID) and go get our garage door opener from Aaron. I'm sure they were so tired but they seemed excited to see where Aaron worked. I felt so bad, but they acted like it was no big deal. They had to have been tired, I know I was!
THANK YOU AGAIN!!!!

Middleton Plantation
19 July 2014
Because we had so much energy built up from the night before we decided to tour a whole planation the next morning! haha
But it was gorgeous! I think this one is my favorite yet.

Aunt Cynthia was so kind to let me steal all her pictures! Thank goodness because I was not feeling well and am terrible about taking pictures sometimes. Also that's why there are some of me:)
These steps are was is left of the original "main house" before it was burned down in the Civil War.
They were pretty excited to see a real live "wild" alligator. This is their scared faces!
Jax really liked the barn area.

I'm sure this was us chasing Jax...again
Because Jax was busy chasing the sheep and peacocks.

They were getting sooooo hot. No I didn't poor water on them, they are sweating.

Oh thank goodness for some cold water!!!!

Downtown
After the planation we headed back downtown where Steve and Cynthia took a carriage tour and I let the boogers sleep in the car (I may have took a nap too...) and then headed to Riverfront Park to play in the fountains.

A Big Thank You for coming to see us and let us tag along as you toured Charleston. We miss you already!
