It is a 2 car garage, 3 bed, 2 bath w/ a FROG (family room over the garage) and a fenced in back yard! We are loving it...well the first couple weeks weren't so fun...
Within the first couple weeks we had 3 plumbing issues and just about everyone got sick.
Jax got sick first and announced it at dinner by throwing up all over me. Then we had a cold spell so the first plumbing problem hit. I look out the window of the kitchen to see water spewing from an outside hose line. What a blessing it was to have Aaron on Mids (working night shift) so I was able to wake Aaron and he was able to fix it.
So I thought I'd escaped the sickness then a few nights later I got it, and poor Jordyn must have had it the same night because I went to go check on her after I had just thrown up and I thought it smelled like throw up, so I thought it was just from me but I nursed her and put her back to bed, only to find the next morning she had throw up in the crib. It took all my energy and I was almost worthless for 2 1/2 days.
Just as I'm getting over being sick I hear Jax crying coming out of her room after his nap to find him standing in a puddle of water. The sink in our bathroom had sprung a leak and had trailed out of the bathroom, through our room into the hall and starting to go into the living room. Blessing-all hard laminate wood floor (which I don't really like but was glad to have it at that moment)! So once again I woke Aaron up and starting cleaning it.
So Aaron never really got sick just didn't feel the greatest for a day, I love that he never gets sick. But last of all on Aaron's last shift of Mids he had just left for work, I am cleaning up, dishes and shower and thought it was odd that the water pressure was low. I go out back and hear water but I don't see anything. The pipe from the first problem was busted again under the porch and was filling water all under the house's crawl space. Aaron was gone and had taken the phone with him to call his sister (he never does this) so I couldn't even call anyone. Another blessing I had seen Aaron turn the water off before so I knew where it was, but I didn't know how to do it. So I'm running in and out of the house looking up youtube videos to turn off our water and Jordyn wakes up crying. Probably an hour later I finally get the water turned off.
Although I never would have wanted any of these things to happen I'm so glad they happened the way they did. To have Aaron home to help when I was sick and take care of me. To have him home to take care of most the plumbing issues and that I was able to take care of the last one, that it was a warm night when I was outside for an hour trying to turn off the water, etc...
Fun Stuff!!!
So last Aaron didn't want to crawl under the house again to fix the pipe so he was going to cut a hole in the porch. I refused to let him do it and told him I would fix the pipe rather than cut a hole in the porch. So that's what I did. He let me and now I have a little plumbing experience. It was an experience going through the crawl space, Good Times!!!
