Christmas Letter

Merry Christmas!

This year we get to introduce to you our newest! Little Miss Jordyn Loraine Tossey was born the 12th April 2013, 8 lbs 2 oz and 21 inches. Her parents and most everyone else thinks she is just adorable. She’s now 8 months and getting ready to walk. She does not like to be alone so she’ll follow you around the house and she makes herself heard with her sweet little baby talk, laughter and silly little faces that just melt our hearts. She wants to be in the middle of everything and adores her big brother.

Jax who turned 2 this year has loved his little sister since the day we brought her home and takes good care of her. Sometimes he gets jealous of “mom” holding her and will say “baby down” but he loves to make his sister laugh and is the best at it. Jax is a typical boy who loves being outside to explore the water, rocks, sticks, etc. He loves to jump and wrestle and could spend all day doing just that if anyone had the energy to keep up, yet loves to sit with mom and read his books. He is such a big boy that sometimes we forget he is only 2 because he looks like he is 3.

Aaron finally finished the third stage of his training in April and was picked up for more training as an Engineering Laboratory Technician. Then because they could not let him go, they decided to keep him around as a staff instructor. So we get to stay in the Charleston for another two years while Aaron trains other sailors. This also adds two more years to his contract.

As we look back on another blessed year we see all the friends and family and fun times we have been able to enjoy this year. We have stayed busy with the fun things of Charleston such as the Downtown, Patriot’s Point, H.L. Hunley, Fort Sumter and even a Braves game in Atlanta. Aaron has gotten into Surf Fishing and is hoping for a gator tag this next year.

But most of our days are filled with watching our little ones grow. Enjoying the playfulness of childhood and trying to stay focused on the things that really matter.

This year Aaron and I were given callings as Ward Missionaries. We have enjoy having that special connection to our ward missionaries and the work of the Lord. It is amazing to see the changes that have come since the change in missionary work since the April 2013 Conference of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Yet the message is always the same, to share the message of Jesus Christ.

As always we love you all and appreciate the support we feel from you. If you are far from us we  miss you and hope that all is well and that you and yours have a Very Merry Christmas.

As the Christmas season envelopes us with all it’s glory, may we as did the wise men seek a bright particular star to guide us in our celebration of the Saviors birth. May we all make the journey to Bethlehem in spirit taking with us a tender caring heart as our gift to the Savior.
-Pres. Thomas S. Monson

With love,
Aaron, Tamra, Jax and Jordyn Tossey
