Jordyn Loraine Tossey

Jordyn Loraine Tossey
12 April 2013
2:40 AM
8 lb 2 oz
21 inches long

Is not she the the most beautiful newborn!!

She's finally here!!!
I started having contractions while Mom, Jax and I were at Boone Hall about 3:30 PM on the 11th. I was waiting for a pain through my front abdomen to my back...well I probably was having contractions for about 1hr before I realized exactly what they were. Jax's contractions were different. We went straight from the plantation to pick up Aaron from work, the whole drive timing my contractions to make sure I was consistent. We picked Aaron up, went home to grab our stuff, dropped Jax off at the Coxsons and went to the hospital.
By the time I finally got settled and they checked me I was dilated to a 5 and soon after that I started getting sick...and that continued all through the night. They tried giving me two different anti-nausia medicines but neither one worked. I got my epidural  when I was dilated to a 7 and they broke my water. I was able to sleep for about 1/2 hour, during which I think someone bumped up my epidural meds because when I woke I couldn't move or feel my legs....which I hate!! When I had dilated to an 8 they put me on petocin. Then I started to shake like I was going crazy. By then it was time to push, after 1 1/2 contractions Jordyn was here!

Daddy getting a better look at his new little angel

 My boys were so tired!

Jax celebrating with a milk shake
He was a little weary of Jordyn at first
Jax has always wanted to help with everything, and it has not been different with Jordyn. He wanted to help burp her in this picture.
Jordyn Loraine was named after her Nana,
Marilyn Loraine Hoer Keys.
We hope to name our children's middle names after someone in their family they can pattern their lives after. I hope she grows to be like the beautiful, hard working and infinitely kind person that my mother is.

Thank you to the family back in Texas for letting us have Mom for 10 days!

Jax Aaron is after his Dad (if you didn't already figure that out), and who better, he's already so much like Aaron!

Our attempts to get a good picture of our new angel.
I just think this picture is too funny!
This girl already has her Daddy wrapped around her finger.

Nana comes to South Carolina

Old Exchange & Provost Dungeon
5th April 2013
Mom came to town for Tossey 2s due date and we went to a few places while we waiting on Tossey 2 to make her appearance! I think Jax really liked having Nana around, and I know I did.

In the Provost Dungeon

Top floor of the Exchange Building, were they still host receptions and parties (2nd floor).

(1st floor)
Jax was past done by the time we finally left

 Rainbow Row in Downtown
Jax loves to read books, and of course getting all the attention.

Boone Hall Plantation
April 11th 2013
Jax took over the drives seat while we waited on the driver.
Mom got to see a gator while she was here!!

I love this picture! it's so Jax when he's trying to be silly.

By this point I was past done. Between wrestling Jax and the beginning of having contractions I was ready to leave!!! Tossey 2 was on her way!!! We went strait from the plantation to picking up Aaron from work, home, dropped Jax off at a friends (THANK YOU COXSONS!!!!!), and headed to the hospital.

Children's Museum

Children's Museum
April 3, 2013
We were invited to go to the Children's Museum here in downtown Charleston and Jax loved it!
There were balls, water, tons of things you could climb on and toys everywhere!
I caught Jax drinking the water from a boat at one point... oops!
He got a little excited about the shopping cart his size!
 Playing with Miss Callaway
Mom and Jax on the fire truck

surprisingly he wasn't a fan of the paint
Thanks Sarah for the invite we had a ton of fun! I'm so glad I have kids now and can go to these things without being weird.
