So...yeah we didn't do anything for the new years... I know we are lame but Aaron was on Mids (Night Shift) and I didn't see any point staying up with just me and the kids so we celebrated with suckers the next day. 2 each!

Morris Family Visit Charleston

We were blessed to have the Morris Family come to Charleston for a long weekend. It has been way to long (6 years) since we've seen them.
We loaded up the first day and headed to Yorktown and had a blast checking out the Destroyer and old Aircraft Carrier.
Poor Jax had an accident while we were leaving the Yorktown. On the pier leaving the ship Jax was clipped by the armrest on the last row of a golf cart and knocked to the ground. Poor boy! We took him into the ER (cause of course everything happens on Saturday) and took an X-ray. Jax was released with a fractured clavicle. He was a good sport but it's hard to keep a little boy still!

Girls and their dolls! They had so much fun and were so cute to watch.
The adults on the other had played hard to, we played board games (Settlers) every night after we got the kiddos to bed.

We had so much fun with the Morris' and hope see them again, sooner rather than 6 years later!
Aaron always wants a real tree, so this year we actually when to a tree farm and cut one down ourselves. It was quite the experience. When we finally got out there I would pick tree and Aaron would tell me it was too small. So then I found this one! After we got it home Aaron was surprised at how big it was and that it barely fit.

have done this every year since we moved to Charelston and we love it. Although it took forever to get in the park this year. We think all the Mormons where out for FHE like us, and here we thought Monday would be slower.
We always roast marshmallows and make s'mores! But we bring our own, well we forgot sticks and they were selling sticks for $2! are you crazy! we just found some in the trees!

Christmas Eve Party
This year we decided to invite a few families that didn't have family near by over for Christmas Eve. We had dinner, made cookies for santa, put on the Nativity play and sang Christmas Carols. I loved it!
The Cast for the Nativity, as you can see it was quiet the production!
We had the Ty Peterson family, Clouse family, and us. Unfortunately we lost the Bishops just before this, it was getting late and they needed to get home in time for Santa to come ;)
