Another Trip to Texas

The day of Aaron's powerschool graduation we hit the road to see family back in Texas and see Keyan's High School Graduation. We had a quick stop at the Austin's in Dallas (that could get confusing...) to see Aunt Laura, Uncle Chis, Gavin and Grandma. Then headed to Altus, OK to go boating, I had not been boating in about 5 years and was so excited. Thanks Dad it was great! 

P.S. I think this is the only trip to the lake I've ever made without getting sunburn at all!! After 23 years I have learned how to wear sunscreen!

Aaron and his new glasses! yep Aaron got glasses, he sees pretty well without them. He realized when I could read road signs before he could, then he couldn't read the board in class when they moved him to the back of the class. The first day he wore them he kept saying "it's like HD!"

Keyan is the salutatorian of the class of 2012 from Childress High School. He even had to give a speech! Congratulations Keyan, we're glad we could be there for it.

Power School Graduation

Power School Graduation

YES!!! Aaron has officially made it through the hardest phase of his training here at the "Naval Nuclear Power Training Command"

"This certifies that MM3 Aaron Jack Ira Tossey has successfully completed the Advanced Nuclear Power Course with Distinction at Charleston, South Carolina, this 25th day of May 2012."

Again Aaron graduated above and beyond with "Distinction" this is only given to students who graduate with a 3.50 GPA or higher. Trust me, they don't call it "Power" school for nothing! They are powering through 70ish credits worth of college material in 6 months. Not to mention during this time Aaron was called to be the Young Men's President in our ward. For those of you who don't know let's just say this took up a lot of time outside his studies. But like I said, Aaron did it all and did it well! 

Congratulations!!! We love you Aaron!

We were also so lucky to have Aaron's Dad and Sister's family here with us to celebrate and attend Aaron's gradutaion. Julia wore her "Dress Whites" to Graduation, it was awesome, they looked great! We miss ya'll already Grandpa and Gray Family! Thank you for all the help and suport!

Graduation Day

I took on the project of attempting to make a little sailor suit for Jax for his Dad's big graduation day, and surprisingly it came out a lot better than I expected, of course my adorable little sailor made it look a lot better on. People were cooing at him and taking pictures, and when they found out I made it I had a few ask me to make one for them, or tell me that I needed to sell them. 

 Aaron's Dad was also in the Navy during the Vietnam War. Navy runs in the family I guess.

 Our new ward had a campout Friday the 13th, I know, good day to have a campout right? No, everything was great and it was lots of fun. I wanted to stay all night but I'd already promised to babysit for a friend the next morning and it feel through...lame =(
